How she got started
Libbi's journey into the world of sewing commenced in a way familiar to many, her mom made her. During her sophomore year in high school, faced with the opportunity to select an elective, she found herself guided by her mother toward a class in Clothing, an introduction into sewing.
Echoing her mother's sentiment, "My mom made me learn how to sew; now it's your turn," little did anyone anticipate the spark of passion that would soon ignite within Libbi. What began as a mandatory pursuit gradually evolved into an undeniable calling and an eventual career path.
Her journey unfolded through successive clothing classes in high school, each building upon the last. As her skills blossomed, so did her curiosity. It was during this time that the whisper of a Fashion Design program at Kansas State University reached her ears, a revelation that would alter the course of her creative destiny

Libbi made a pivotal move to Kansas State University in the fall of 2016, embarking on a transformative journey that culminated in her graduation in 2019, achieving a Bachelor of Science in Apparel and Textiles with a Specialization in Design and Production. Her time at Kansas State University served as an invaluable platform for honing her craft as a designer, allowing her talents to flourish and evolve.
Throughout her academic pursuit, Libbi's keen interest gravitated towards the realm of bridal and formalwear, a niche she aspired to venture into professionally. Fate intervened at a networking event orchestrated by her college, where she serendipitously crossed paths with Alicia Ybarra, the esteemed CEO and Lead Designer at Vanya Designs Bridal.
This serendipitous encounter marked the genesis of a flourishing career journey for Libbi. Inspired by shared visions and a passion for exquisite bridal couture, she found herself seamlessly integrated into the world of Vanya Designs Bridal, where she continues to thrive and contribute her creative prowess to this day

At Vanya Designs Bridal, nestled in the heart of Wichita, Kansas, you'll find Libbi, a passionate Designer pouring her heart into creating breathtaking bridal ensembles. Her journey at Vanya Designs began in May 2019, initially as an eager intern and now a pivotal member of the design team.
While Libbi's roots are firmly embedded in the realm of bridalwear, her artistic spirit thrives on exploration. Over the past four years, she's crafted exquisite custom pieces, each a testament to her dedication and craftsmanship. But beyond the bridal veil lies a boundless creative energy that refuses to be confined.
Intrigued by the vast expanse of fashion, Libbi's imaginative spirit dances across realms, embracing swimwear, athleticwear, and formalwear with equal fervor. Her artistic curiosity propels her to delve into diverse styles, channeling her passion for fashion into each new endeavor.
